Seven Steps of Goal Setting

  1. Write down clearly identify goals
  2. Date those goals with a deadline for achievement
  3. Obstacles, identify them and how to overcome them
  4. Associations / Groups
    • That you need to be around or work with to help achieve these goals
  5. Identify what you need to know.
    • skills and knowledge required to achieve goals
  6. Write a plan of action
  7. List benefits
    • Why do I want these goals?
    • What’s in it for me?
